I Received my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from SVNIT, Surat in the year 2007. After completion of B.Tech, I joined doctoral program at Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati under the supervision of Prof Praveen Kumar and was awarded PhD in the year 2017. My area of research during PhD was electrical motors for Electric Vehicle application. I authored and co-authored 7 international journals and 14 conference during the doctoral journey.
After completion of Ph.D I have been in industry for more than 6 years as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for motors. The organizations I served are NFTDC, Hyderabad, Ather Energy Pvt Ltd, Bangalore and Portescap India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai. During my industrial career I have designed motors for applications like Electric vehicles (E-bike, 2W, 4W), Drones and medical devices.
I joined IIT Bhubaneswar as Assistant Professor in School of Electrical Sciences in Feb 2023. My current research interests are applications of motors and power electronics to Electric vehicles, drones, bionics and medical applications. My major research objective is developing economic and sustainable motor solutions for critical applications. Thus, exploration of SRM, SynRM or ferrite magnets based motors as alternates to BLDC or PMSM motors for above mentioned applications, are immediate focus of my research.
I am open to research collaborations with academic and industrial organizations having similar interests.
